I am off to Asia tonight getting ready for an assignment with Toronto ALPHA that will take me to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Harbin and Seoul. The 2011 Toronto ALPHA study tour will be bringing over 30 participants on a busy 16-day trip.
Toronto Association for Learning and Preserving the History of World War II in Asia (ALPHA) is a volunteer based community organization formed in 1997. Through education and public awareness initiatives, its mandate is to unearth the long forgotten history of WWII in Asia, with a mission to celebrate truth, justice, humanity, peace and reconciliation as global citizens.
Before embarking on this study tour, I will be traveling to Xian and Dunhuang in western China to photograph part of the silk road. Let’s hope that the weather is going to cooperate.
